Filming The Extreme Associates' is a new venture, set up by Kirk Watson and Matt Brown, created specifically to deal with the growing demands of film and television crews working in remote or hazardous locations. This exciting new venture has been developed by a group of likeminded individuals with a background in film making, expedition safety, outdoor instruction and adventure travel.

Filming The Extreme' aims to provide safety and logistical support to film and television companies wishing to work in any environment – from the Scottish mountains to remote Andean peaks, from Alpine slopes to the depths of Antarctica - we have it covered. Similarly, all types of activity are equally well supported, from simple hill walking to climbing and mountaineering, from skiing and boarding to canoeing and kayaking.

Our aim is simple - to get your cameramen and crew where they want to be and let them get the shots they need in complete safety.

'Filming The Extreme' also specializes in diving support and water safety for all types of filming in any location.

Filming The Extreme' has to date been involved with the safety and support of a variety of filming projects. Our CV so far includes work with television crews from Sky, BBC News, Channel Four and ITN. Underwater film credits include work for the BBC Natural History Unit, the Discovery Channel and the "James Bond" film "Casino Royale". Recently we have been responsible for filming the British Antarctic Survey training DVD and have just completed the first seasons filming of the new Halley research station in Antarctica for an upcoming television documentary.
